By using wish.mv (the “Service”) you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the Service.
Your account
- You must be at least 13 years old to use wish.mv.
- You're responsible for the activity on your account and for keeping your sign-in secure.
- One person per account. Don't impersonate someone else or use a fake identity to deceive others.
Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Use wish.mv for anything illegal, harassing, or hateful, or to share content that is sexually explicit, threatens others, or violates someone's rights.
- Upload malware, scrape the site at scale, or try to break, probe, or overload our infrastructure.
- Use wish.mv to send spam (e.g. mass-creating wishlists to push links).
Your content
You keep ownership of the wishlists, items, images, and other content you create on wish.mv (“Your Content”). You grant us a limited license to store, display, and transmit Your Content as needed to operate the Service for you and the people you share it with.
You're responsible for the lawfulness of Your Content. If something you post infringes someone's rights or violates these terms, we may remove it.
Plus upgrades and payments
- Plus is an optional, one-time upgrade for a single wishlist or Secret Friends group. The price is shown in Maldivian Rufiyaa (MVR) before you pay.
- Payment is by bank transfer. You upload a receipt and we verify it manually before enabling Plus, which can take up to a day.
- Plus applies only to the specific wishlist or group you upgraded and is permanent for that event. It doesn't transfer to others.
- Prices can change, but the price shown when you upgrade is the price that applies to that upgrade.
- Because Plus is a one-time digital unlock, payments are generally non-refundable except where required by law, or if we fail to enable the upgrade after a verified payment. For any payment problem, contact usand we'll make it right.
Privacy and anonymity
wish.mv hides who claimed what from everyone before the event date. After the event date, a wishlist owner can see who gave which gift (so they can say thanks). Secret Friends exchanges stay anonymous forever — you know who you're gifting, but no one ever finds out who gifted them. Other gifters never see each other's claims. We take that design seriously, but we can't stop someone from voluntarily telling the wisher who they are. See our Privacy Policy for the full picture.
Service availability
We aim to keep wish.mv running smoothly but we don't guarantee uptime. We may change, suspend, or discontinue features at any time. We'll try to give reasonable notice of significant changes.
Termination
You can stop using wish.mv at any time and request account deletion via hello@wish.mv. We can suspend or close accounts that violate these terms, or that pose a risk to the Service or other users.
Disclaimers
The Service is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.
Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, wish.mv is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits or data, arising out of or in connection with your use of the Service.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Maldives, and any disputes will be handled by the courts of the Maldives.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. Material changes will be announced via a notice in the app or by email.
